Dr. Sarah Crawford, DVM
Dr. Sarah Crawford is a small animal veterinarian who joined Mille Lacs Veterinary Group in 2005 and became a co-owner in 2015. Although she was hired for their Becker location she has enjoyed working extensively at all of the Mille Lacs Veterinary Group locations. Dr. Crawford received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Minnesota, Morris, an M.S. in Biology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and her DVM from the University of Minnesota in 2005. Before starting veterinary school in 2001 she worked for several years as a biology instructor at Gustavus Adolphus College. Dr. Crawford has a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care and geriatric medicine. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time outside. She lives with her husband, three Labradors (Buster, Ella and Rosie), a cat (Claire) and two guinea pigs (Bill and Ted).
Dr. Jane Jasan, DVM
Dr. Jasan is a small animal doctor who works out of all three of our clinics.
Dr. Tim Roghair, DVM
Tim Roghair, DVM is a small animal veterinarian at the Becker and Foley Clinics. Originally from Mt. Lake, MN, Dr. Roghair graduated from the Univerisity of Minnesota and first came to work for MLVC in 1997. Dr. Roghair especially enjoys small animal internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Roghair and his wife, Julie, have three dogs.
Dr. Steve Kivisto, DVM
Dr. Steve Kivisto grew up in the Babbitt, MN. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, Duluth and then attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1997. Dr. Kivisto has particular interest in preventative medicine, surgery and client education.
Dr. Kivisto has two children (a teenage son and daughter), a cat (Keswick) and a guinea pig (Tribbles). When he is not in the clinic, he enjoys outdoor activities, working out, reading and spending time with his children.
Certified Veterinary Technicians
Cassie hails from Clear Lake, MN. In 2011, she graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar as a CVT, and joined MLVC the following year. Cassie’s specific areas of interest include surgery and dentistry. She married her husband, Brandon Kozak, in February 2016; they share their home with three furry family members: Hank, a black Lab/Retriever; Glen, a buff-colored domestic shorthair; and Evelyn, a Lynx point domestic shorthair. Cassie’s hobbies include being outside, hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling.
A native of Clear Lake, MN, Tammy has been with us since 2002. She graduated that same year from Argosy University, where she earned her certification, and has developed a special interest in canine behavior and client education. Tammy is the proud owner of 2 beautiful Quarter horses, and 2 Pit Bulls named Abe and Hogan. When she’s not working, you can find her four-wheeling, horseback riding, reading, or spending time with her friends and family.
Rita Kurr, CVT is a small animal veterinary technician at the Becker Veterinary Clinic. Rita obtained her degree in veterinary technology from Ridgewater College in 2005. She is interested in all aspects of small animal medicine, and she lives with Brutis & Rocket her 2 dogs, and Oddball & Googie her cats.
Krista Barrett, CVT is a small animal veterinary technician at the Becker Clinic. She has worked as a technician ever since graduating from Ridgewater College in 2003. She enjoys all aspects of her work with the Becker Clinic. At home, Krista has three cats; Skittles, Janie, and Black Jack.
Holly Egerer, CVT is a small animal veterinary technician at the Becker Clinic. Holly has worked since 1990 as a vet tech graduating from the Medical Institute of MN and has a special interest in animal rescue, puppy training, and behavior issues. In addition to caring for her clients’ pets, she also has her own menagerie! Holly keeps 11 rat terriers, which she breeds and raises, three rescued Jack Russell Terriers, and three Australian shepherds, 14 barn cats (most of which are rescues) and six horses; three Mustangs, two half Arabians and one Morgan. In her spare time, Holly enjoys endurance riding, camping, motorcycling and snowmobiling.
Alexis is originally from St. Cloud and graduated with her veterinary technology degree from Ridgewater College in 2019. She is the most recent addition to the Becker team and enjoys all aspect of small animal medicine. She has a pitbull named “Berlin” and a rat named “Finnigan”.
She enjoys snowboarding but her favorite pastime is being with her sweet little “Berlin”.
Customer Service Team
Brenda Schuldt is a receptionist at the Becker Veterinary Clinic. Though Brenda’s background is in Early Child Care, she is very much at home in the veterinary clinic setting. She loves being involved with animals on a daily basis and loves to see the compassion Becker’s vets and techs have when helping an animal and client through a difficult time. Brenda has two dogs, Brody and Koko, a cat named Tazz, and 4 Foxtrotters.
Sue Marx is a receptionist at the Becker Veterinary Clinic. Sue has worked since 1981 in customer service and enjoys working with the doctors and technicians and seeing their dedication to their clients and their animals.
Ann is from Monticello, MN where she lives with her two daughters. She joined the Becker Clinic in 2018 and really enjoys meeting the clients and their pets. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
